6 Areas
We Audit

Every PPC audit covers these six critical areas — for both Google Ads and Meta Ads. Most accounts have fixable problems in at least three of them.

01
Conversion Tracking Accuracy

The most impactful thing we check. If conversions aren't tracked accurately, every optimization decision the platform makes is based on bad data — and so is yours.

  • GA4 conversion event configuration
  • Google Ads conversion action setup
  • Meta Pixel and CAPI event match quality
  • Duplicate conversion counting
  • Call tracking and form lead verification
02
Wasted Spend Analysis

We pull the search term reports and audience breakdowns to identify exactly where budget is going that isn't producing results — and estimate how much can be recovered immediately.

  • Irrelevant search term analysis
  • Broad match keyword over-exposure
  • Negative keyword gap identification
  • Underperforming audience segments
  • Placement and network exclusion gaps
03
Account Structure Review

How your campaigns and ad groups are organized determines how the platform allocates budget, triggers ads, and reports results. Poor structure hides performance and wastes spend.

  • Campaign segmentation logic
  • Ad group keyword theme consistency
  • Match type strategy assessment
  • Budget allocation across campaigns
  • Bidding strategy alignment to goals
04
Quality Score & Ad Copy

Low Quality Scores mean you pay more per click than competitors for the same keywords. We identify which ad groups are dragging down your account and what to fix first.

  • Quality Score by campaign and ad group
  • Ad relevance and expected CTR
  • Landing page experience signals
  • Ad copy variation and testing gaps
  • Asset performance ratings (PMax)
05
Audience & Targeting Review

For Meta Ads, we review audience overlap, ad set budget distribution, and whether cold prospecting and retargeting are properly separated. Overlapping audiences split spend and corrupt data.

  • Audience overlap analysis
  • Prospecting vs. retargeting separation
  • Lookalike audience source quality
  • Custom Audience data freshness
  • Geographic and demographic targeting
06
Competitor Ad Landscape

We review what your Calgary competitors are running — keywords they're bidding on, ad copy angles they're using, and gaps you can exploit to gain position without overpaying.

  • Competitor keyword bidding analysis
  • Ad copy differentiation gaps
  • Impression share benchmarks
  • Auction insights review
  • Brand keyword protection gaps

Audit in
5 Steps

From account access to a written report with prioritized recommendations — here's exactly what happens when you request a PPC audit.

01
Request & Account Access

You submit the audit request form and grant read-only access to your Google Ads or Meta Business Manager — we never need payment info or the ability to make changes. You stay in full control of your account throughout.

02
Data Collection & Analysis

We pull 90 days of performance data and systematically review each of the six audit areas — conversion tracking, wasted spend, account structure, Quality Scores, audience setup, and competitor positioning. This takes 3–5 business days.

03
Finding Documentation

Every finding is documented with specific evidence from your account — not generic best-practice advice. We note the exact campaign, ad group, or setting with the issue, the impact it's having, and the priority level for fixing it.

04
Written Report Delivery

You receive a written audit report with findings organized by priority — critical issues first, then high-impact improvements, then optimization opportunities. Each finding includes a clear action description so you know exactly what to fix.

05
Debrief Call & Next Steps

We walk through the report on a 30-minute call and answer your questions. If you want us to implement the changes, we'll outline what that looks like. If you'd rather take the report and handle it internally or with another agency — that's completely fine. The audit is yours regardless.

An Audit That's
Actually Useful

Most PPC audits are built to sell you services. This one is built to tell you the truth about your account.

🔍
Account-Specific, Not Generic

Every finding references the actual campaign, ad group, or setting with the problem — not a list of industry best practices repackaged as an audit. You'll know exactly what's broken in your account, not what's theoretically wrong in most accounts.

📋
Prioritized Action Plan

Findings are ranked by impact — critical issues (conversion tracking failures) first, followed by high-impact structural fixes, then optimization opportunities. You know exactly what to tackle first to get the fastest improvement in results.

🔑
No Obligation — It's Genuinely Free

We don't gate the audit report behind a sales meeting, limit what we show you, or use it as a teaser to upsell. You get the full findings and can do whatever you want with them — including taking them to a different agency.

💰
Dollar Impact Estimates

Where possible, we estimate the dollar value of wasted spend or recoverable budget — not just "this is inefficient." Knowing that a specific fix could recover $800/month in wasted budget makes prioritization obvious.

🍁
Canadian Compliance Check

We review whether your campaigns respect Google and Meta's Canadian advertiser policies, PIPEDA data handling requirements for Custom Audiences, and CASL compliance for any email follow-up triggered by your ad funnels.

🏙️
Calgary Market Context

We benchmark your performance against Calgary and Alberta market norms — not U.S.-centric averages. CPCs, conversion rates, and audience costs differ significantly in the Canadian market, and we audit with that context in mind.

PPC Audit
Questions

Is the PPC audit really free — what's the catch? +
Yes, it's genuinely free. We audit accounts at no charge because it's how we show Calgary businesses what we're capable of. You'll receive a full written report and a debrief call. Our hope is that you'll want to work with us afterward — but we give you the full audit regardless of what you decide. No partial reports, no gated findings, no obligation.
What access do you need to audit my account? +
For Google Ads: read-only access to your Google Ads account and GA4 property. For Meta Ads: analyst access to your Business Manager. We never need editor access during the audit — you can grant read-only and we'll work within that. You stay in full control and can revoke access at any time.
How long does the audit take to complete? +
Most audits take 3–5 business days from when we receive account access. Larger accounts with multiple campaigns across both Google Ads and Meta may take up to a week. We'll give you a specific delivery date when you request the audit so you know when to expect the report.
Can you audit both Google Ads and Meta Ads at the same time? +
Yes. If you're running both platforms, we can audit them together — which often reveals cross-channel issues like attribution conflicts or audiences that overlap between Google and Meta. Combined audits typically take an extra 1–2 business days but give you a more complete picture of how your paid advertising stack is performing.
What if my account is new and doesn't have much data? +
A new account with limited data still has auditable structure, tracking setup, and configuration — we can review whether the foundation is correct even without months of performance history. If your account is less than 30 days old, a setup review is often more valuable than a performance audit, and we'll frame the report accordingly.
Will you implement the changes from the audit? +
After the audit debrief, if you'd like us to implement the recommendations and take over ongoing management, we'll put together a proposal. If you'd rather implement the changes yourself or with your current agency, the audit findings belong to you and you're free to use them however you choose. There's no pressure either way.
