Backlinks are the number of links, on other websites, that point to the Best 25 Home Builders in Toronto website. The more links that point to a website, the better. This number is very important. Through SEO, and other forms of digital marketing (ie; not ONLY traffic from search engines), the webpage is estimated to garner 1,352 visits every month. Imagine how much this is worth for a local business? Over 1,300 visits, to this webpage alone, in one month! This number helps us show a client how much SEO, and more generally, digital marketing, could be worth, to a client.
9) “Facebook Shares: 2”
This means that this specific webpage only has 2 Facebook shares. This is good news if we’re trying to out-rank this page on Google. More Facebook shares means more people find this page to be relevant and important, and Google knows this. This is what we would call a search engine ‘ranking factor’. We know that if we want to look better to Google, we would need to get more than 2 Facebook shares – no problem! Now, imagine if this number was higher? in the hundreds? or thousands? That would be much more difficult to beat.
10) List of Keywords
This is where we start to examine the keywords that this specific page ranks for, on Google and other search engines. You might not know this, but one webpage can rank very high on Google, for different search terms or ‘multiple keywords’. This helps us formulate which keywords we should also target when building content for you! Remember, this entire SEO analyses, is to show you how we set the benchmarks our clients need to beat, to out rank a certain webpage. Here’s the logic: we don’t have to reinvent the wheel, we need only to build a better wheel than your competitors.
11) List of ‘Positions’
This list is shows where each of the ‘keywords’ or search terms, typically rank, in the search engine results. This information, in combination with the information derived from (12), also helps us decipher which keywords to focus on, when creating content for our clients.

This list shows how many visitors each month, come to this webpage, from each of the respected search terms or ‘keywords’ (#7 above). Here’s an example to illustrate why these numbers are important: let’s say some keywords are too difficult to outrank, we can use this list to help decide which of the other keywords we should focus on, based on value (estimated visits).

Most people ignore this, or it ends up being an afterthought, but it’s very important: the speed of the webpage. This is another one of the search engine ‘ranking factors’. This webpage has a Google Mobile Pagespeed of 23. So we would try to ensure our client’s webpage has a higher Pagespeed than 23. This impacts the user/visitor experience, and a positive visitor experience is very important to Google and the other search engines.
14) 5,385 total words on the webpage
This number is very important for content creation. We know that the page we are trying to outrank has 5,385 words, so the content we create should aim to have approximately 5,000-6,000 words on it – no more, no less. It seems weird that such a simple ranking factor could mean so much, but it’s true. We would aim to create content of a similar length, just slightly more.
15) Two lists of ‘Keywords’ on the webpage being examined
These lists show the frequency of phrases and ‘keywords’ present in the text, on the webpage itself. We use these numbers to figure out the ‘keyword density’ for any content we create. This helps to set up an outline of how we would approach copy writing, to ensure we outrank this page. Remember, stuffing words into text, on a webpage, alone, isn’t enough. The magic comes from creating valuable content, that satisfies these requirements. Google, Bing, Yahoo, and other search engines, LOVE this.
